ATV Training

Aspen Safety offers training for both ATV (QUAD) and UTV (side x side).

Are you aware that one hour of travel on an ATV can equal the distance you can walk in a day!

These single day courses are intended for both commercial and recreational riders. All instruction materials, rider registration and Certificates of Completion are through the Canada Safety Council in Ottawa. Participants must supply a proper fitting helmet, safety glasses or goggles, either safety or riding boots (no sneakers or open toe), gloves and long sleeve shirt or jacket.

The purpose of the course is to increase rider safety awareness. Through the introduction of strategies to identify and manage the risks associated with riding, participants will have a better understanding of their abilities and the capabilities of their machine. Riders will be trained to perform a simple pre-ride safety check before each usage.

Lessons range from Controls to Starting and Stopping through Sharp Turns to Traversing Obstacles and Hills. Some lessons may be optional but all commercial riders are required to take Safe Loading and Unloading as per O.H.S Regulations in AB.

With the growing emphasis on preservation of the environment large areas of the province are being closed to ATV riders. The lesson, Safe Riding Practises and Environmental Concerns attempts to educate riders to drive responsibly and respect the rights of others and the environment.

On successful completion of the course all participants will be issued Certificates of Completion ,wallet card and a Riders Handbook
